What’s Your Passion?

Passion: A strong and barely controllable Emotion

Life is beautiful!  But even more when you know your passion. A confused Alex asked a group of coaches how he could discover what he was passionate about. Intrigued, coaches jumped at the question to Infuse their perspectives, and encouraged him to:

  • Get in touch with your desire
  • What do you really want to do?
  • What would you do if you had a year off?
  • Go back to your childhood and think what you were doing in your free time, games you liked to play
  • What is it like for you to not know
  • What is something that someone did for you that you enjoyed and had fun doing, receiving, and participating in
  • Know your life purpose
  • The fact that you have a life purpose means that you have a blank canvas and can create whatever you want
  • It’s in your life journey. It looks different for everyone. Explore working with a coach. See who clicks with you
  • Do an assessment
  • Sit still with a paper in front of you. Sometimes you need to analyse what’s working and what’s not working in your life
  • What’s your life goal? Has it changed?

It’s always great to take a step back at different times in life to reflect. Ponder the questions above and see where it takes you. Enjoy the ride.

  1. I feel like I have two passions and they didn’t show up until high school and college. In high school, I was at an Outreach event where we did a dinner exercise and through that exercise, I realized that the vast majority of the world is living in poverty and knew it was part of my calling to reach out to them and the experience was how I knew volunteering is a passion of mine.

My second passion is for musicals. I grew up going to see musicals live and musical movies. In 2006, my love for musicals was sparked due to seeing Wicked on Broadway and that show was key to understanding the emotional and complex side of musicals. But it wasn’t until 2012/2013 for the love to turn into a passion. It all started with seeing the musical movie of Les Mis and in 2013, I developed an obsession with the musical, which in turn developed my passion for musicals. My blog clearly shows how passionate I am about musicals

      1. It can be hard to have two passions in a way. Some people tend to forget I have two of them. I talk about musicals a lot more than volunteering, which is why it seems like I only have one. My passion for volunteering came first and in a way it is my true passion because it is part of my calling in many ways. So I am up with this nonprofit idea that combines the two into one: I am thinking of opening up a theatre where those who are homeless can be involved in the theatre
