The Insights: What Will We Do After Corona? 21 Projected Changes…

To stand still is to be left behind

COVID_19 will incorporate changes throughout the USA and worldwide. Gone are the days of resistance to societal changes. There will be some who still resist but soon they will be dormant. To stand still is to be left behind.  But while we wait for the cure, a new vaccine and more, we practice safe measures, quarantines and more.  Here are a few basic gleanings that’s highly possible will become the norm for businesses and individuals:

  1. Some organizations may incorporate work-from-home for some positions as a new way of working.
  2. Some employees delighted for the break, may never return to work in a physical office structure. We call it exposure to work / life balance.
  3. Some businesses may never recoup and go under.
  4. Some businesses will expand or diversify. For example, a business that provides recruitment to hundreds of hotels has been placed on hold as the hospitality industry was forced to a halt. Meanwhile the healthcare industry booms in response to the pandemic. Same business but incorporating different industries. We call it diversification.
  5. Some Celebrities will fade while others will enormously gain.
  6. Smaller churches and religious leaders exposed to the expanse of online possibilities to minister to the sick and shut-in. No doubt they will venture out bench-marking those well known preachers. Competition rampant even among churches? Yikes!
  7. World-wide Entertainment. The exposure of Digital media to those who didn’t have a clue of its existence (living in the dark ages, I’d say). Online movie-goers will expand into mobile users accompanying their musical mix. Expansion, expansion, expansion.
  8. Some parents… now introduced to the ‘joys‘ of home-schooling, will decide to do so as a way of life. Better Control and safety they’ll say.
  9. Some parents may even start their own school.  Hmm …the exhilarated insight to new entrepreneurship!
  10. Lets not forget healthcare as more patients, workers, laissez faires will be more willing to use telemedicine!  Yep! no more resistance to the doctor-on-call.
  11. Research and Development (R&D) will speed up provided they have the investment/ financial funding.
  12. Record numbers of census sign-ups…never seen before?
  13. Real Estate will see increased number of interests from homeowners who will want a dedicated space to work at home. Four bedroom anyone?
  14. More will be willing to purchase their dream cars online. Oh the delights to test-drive and return later for a better ride
  15. Some barbers and hairdressers will lose business as clients will try to do their hair at home. Yep! Mistakes get better with time.
  16. Other Masters of hair-care will expand as they become more mobile or more flexible… trying this, that, or the other.
  17. Virtual meetings will soar as those who didn’t know become exposed and be bold enough to experience the joys of technology …the virtual enabler.
  18. E-commerce will soar making virtuality a normality for sure
  19. Oh and what of governments, policies, and politics? We’ll leave that for you to explore.
  20. Individualized self-discovery, and willingness to learn will explode, giving rise to
  21. The escalation in anything new as we innovate, innovate, innovate!

Tons more will rise but for now it’s your turn. Any changes you have noticed that you would like to add? Do share. We would love to hear!

Cheers!

I Am Meant To Do Something…

I know I am meant to something but what is it? What is it?

That statement from a young man whose heart stopped beating for over 20 minutes. He came back to life when doctors and neighbors gave him CPR after he was electrocuted.

Caused me to Reflect on how you can find your purpose. Many ask the popular question…. what am I here for? What is my purpose. Who knows? Only the almighty does. But you can read more from my past discussion on 13 Ways To Find Your Purpose. Here are a few more thoughts on the subject.

How To Find Your Purpose

  • Stop resisting the unknown.
  • Act. Try New things
  • Do what you love. Follow your passion
  • Visualize where you want to go. Jack Canfield says it very well,

Every time you express a preference for something, you are expressing an intention. A table by the window, front row seats at a conference, first-class tickets, a room with an ocean view, or a loving relationship. ~Jack Canfield

Have you found your purpose? Do share. We would love to hear.

Goals: Be Careful What You Wish For…

Goals:Be careful what you Wish for. You might get it.

JK Rowling wished to write a book that would be successful. She did. The Harry Potter series was amazing. Readers could hardly wait for each book to be published. But JK Rowling did not like the spotlight. She liked privacy. But that was not to be after writing her books.

That dream job you want. You go after it. You get it. Then it turns out to be your worst nightmare.

You pursue the man or woman of your dreams. Get Married. Then suddenly things change.

The point is when seeking your goals, make sure you think them through fully. Is what you are seeking what you want?

Food For Thought

Go after those Goals with fervor. But look before you leap.

Cheers!

Whatever Your Dream, Don’t Give Up…

Dreams are illustrations… from the book your soul is writing about you.

Entrepreneurs know the travails of starting and growing a business. The challenges associated with carrying a business from incubation to reality. It’s no easy task.

Career transitions, college students, and goal seekers all know how difficult it is to carry the burden of studies to get to the finish line. It’s no easy task.

Parents know how difficult it is to bear the burden of the change in lifestyle as a newborn is expected. It’s no easy task.

Let’s not forget authors whose stories became known from a dream, to a thought, to a page, to a book. Published! It’s no easy task.

So it is with whatever we put our minds to. Whatever we decide to do from idea, thought, dream, goal… it is not going to be easy until it becomes a reality. Success involves dreaming; it involves planning; it involves hard work; it involves dedication,  determination, commitment, and most of all resilience. Many are the athletes whose stories have been told of the journey that they had to embark on and overcome. Not only days, months but for many years, athletes stood the test of time to achieve their goal. They were able to achieve because they stuck to their dream.

Today whatever your dream is … don’t give up. Strive, put in the hard work; put in the dedication, put in what needs to be done, and your success is inevitable.. however you define it.

The Admin Cove’s 10 Ways To Successfully Leave Your 9-5 Job…

Start doing what is necessary. Then do what’s possible. Then suddenly you’re doing the impossible. ~St. Francis of Assisi

Many are the dreams of entrepreneurs. Those new who are brave enough to start and those who are still dreaming keep the momentum going through 101+ Empowering Quotes For New Entrepreneurs. If you are among those who wish to make the move, the Admin Cove shared 10-ways to safely and Successfully leave your 9-5 Job. Here I share their tips:

1]. Start with a goal and make a decision. This can be a goal of when you want your last day to be or what you would like to do. Written goals are more likely to be accomplished than non-written goals.

2]. Redesign your life. Begin to become conscious of your budget, your spending habits, and put together a plan of where you can cut corners in the meantime.

3]. Pick up a side hustle. Picking up extra work can help you save but more importantly, can provide you with a back-up plan for when you are ready to leave.

4]. Save up 3-months of salary. In the event that your business/backup plan takes longer to get off the ground, It’s good to have at least 3-months worth of salary saved up and ready to go for spending needs.

5]. Become laser focused on your plan. Keep your vision front and center DAILY and make sure to stay focused on the end goal.

6]. Work weekends, nights, and through lunch. Take advantage of the time you have outside of work and Budget your time wisely based on your lifestyle/family life. Always make sure to set aside ample time to focus on building your business/perfecting your craft.

7]. Master 1 skill. Focus on 1 skill which you’re already good at. Then, work on improving it. Stick to what you know in the beginning and become the best.

8]. Keep quiet about your goals. When possible, try to avoid sharing your goals with too many people especially those you work with.

9]. Don’t burn any bridges. Maintain healthy relationships with everyone you work with includes your boss. You never know when your paths will cross again and you may need their help or vice versa.

10]. Jump! Basically when you’re ready, make that leap. The more you think about it and worry about job security, the less likely you’ll make the decision to leave.

There you have it. Prepare your plans. Step our and realize your entrepreneurship dream,

Cheers!
