There’s nothing like the magic of Christmas! The songs bring cheer ushering the spirit of the season. Reflecting on 11 Songs that remind me of why I love this time of the year.

It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas! The Holidays! Whatever you call it… to me its the most wonderful time of the year! People are kind, joyful, generous, smiling, pretty-all dressed up for those office parties, and family gatherings! There’s sumptuous food, Folly jolly chocolate delights, gifts and so much more! Yes, I know there’s always the Grinch but they’re just a few, so let’s not let them spoil it for us too.

Even On A Team Dreams May Differ…

If I had planned my life, it never would have ended up like this. So maybe it’s kind of fun not to plan. Maybe it’s more fun just to see where life takes you. ~Joanna Gaines
In a relationship, dreams may differ. In a striving organization, dreams may differ. On a professional team, siblings growing up together…in all these scenarios, dreams may differ. Each person has his/her own goals and objectives which contributes positively to the end result. Negatively? Not so.
Let’s consider Marie and Alex, both managers who are working on a marketing project to achieve their department’s goal. Marie wants the project to succeed because she has her eyes on that coveted promotion. Alex wants to succeed because his family is growing and he’s hoping to get that mega increase to move into a bigger space to suit his family’s needs.
Goals Should Align
Goals should align though. How we get there may differ but they should align.
But as Joanna said … be open. Plan it but let it flow in whichever direction it chooses. You’ll get there if you don’t give up
Cheers!
Where Are They Now? Here’s One Word Used To Describe Their Journey…

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”

A sprint. A jog. A run. A walk. I sat on a bench in the park stretching. I watched health and fitness enthusiasts do what they love. I stretched more, then reflected on life. Where are we now? A Lesson Will Keep Repeating Itself Until It Is Learned…

A lesson will keep repeating itself until it is learned. Life first will send the lesson to you in the size of a pebble; if you ignore the pebble, then life will send you a brick; if you ignore the brick, life will send you a brick wall; if you ignore the brick wall, life will send you a demolition truck.”- Oprah
What Can Be Awesome About Goals? Finishing! That’s What…

What can be awesome about finishing last? Finishing! ~ODB
The race is not for the swift. Too often we watch others. What are they going to say? How will they feel? They will hate. Discourage…say bad things.
Finish
The story was told by Our Daily Bread about a mom who went to the finish line to check on her daughter who finished the race last. Her goal? To encourage her. She was the one encouraged when the young girl exclaimed… I finished! She was running against her personal best.
This adage reminds us to focus on ourselves, our goals, our own prowess. If we continue to let the notion of “what will they say” impact us, then we will always lag behind. Even remain stuck.
Take a Stand
Today go out and do your best. What have you been holding back on? What do you need to go after? No matter how simple, Go out and do it. Rid the fear. Start now. Start today. With one step at a time, you’re sure to surprise yourself when you focus on you.

Do Not Let Your Fear Hold You Back From Your Destiny…

You Cannot Let Your Fear Hold You Back From Your Destiny. You are to feel the fear and do it anyway. Do it broke. Do it scared. Do it nervous. Do it trembling. Do it with help. Do it on your knees. Do it with courage because you don’t want to end up wondering what would have happened if you had more courage. ~T.D. Jakes
Success: The Iceberg Illusion…

Who sees your whole iceberg? The failures, fears, hard work, and the will to never give up in pursuit of your #goals. Arianna Huffington shared this graphical reminder of this common analogy of the success people see but not the sacrifices made along the way.
Something to think about as you continue your pursuit to achieve your goals, dreams and aspirations.
Keep going. Never give up.

Try A Thing You Haven’t Done 3 Times…

Try a thing you haven’t done three times. Once, to get over the fear of doing it. Twice, to learn how to do it. And a third time to figure out whether you like it or not.”
— Virgil Thomson
Good Intentions Never Change Anything…

Ever been caught between a rock and a hard place? You ask yourself “should I, or should I not?”The choices we make in life are sometimes good, sometimes bad; at times right, at times wrong. But kudos to you when you make a choice.
Stuck
Making a choice is not always easy. We hesitate, deliberate and become stuck. To be stuck means to be trapped in something. Not being sure which direction to take. Have you ever been there? You experience sadness, complacency, a loss of care. Even when you do care, you feel caught, remain steadfast-unmovable…not sure what to do. Remember our beloved child actor McCaulay Culkin? We want him to remain a child forever. We want to be able to watch the movie Home Alone during the holidays. We want him to remain as he was without changing to feed our fantasies of the ideal family vacation during the holidays!
But life isn’t like that. As we contemplate where we are now in our life, career, relationship, entrepreneurship endeavor, health and more, we often come up short. Few of us find satisfaction that where we are now is where we want to be.
So today, take some time and reflect. Are you where you want to be in life? If not, why? After contemplating, take action. This will help you get unstuck and back on track. Stop procrastinating. Start moving to achieve your dreams, goals, and aspirations. Remember… good intentions never change anything. So act now.
