Do not disturb. Dreaming up new ideas.

The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them. ~George Bernard Shaw
When Brian Tracy asked Entrepreneurs to share what they were most passionate about, one replied “nothing“. Tis sad. We all have something that we are good at. If you find that you are unable to identify your passion, seek help. You will find that life is more meaningful when you get the courage to go out and do what you have always wanted to do. Don’t just waste it and Wrinkle away.
As many other enthusiasts chimed into respond, here I share excerpts as they spoke about their passion.
What are you most passionate about? Does any of the above resonate with you and Provoke a response? Do share!

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different? ~C.S. Lewis
I dare you! Without hesitation she jumped off the cliff fully clad into the menacing waters below. “Way cool!!” her friends screamed.
Just think about that situation. How often do we act like that in our lives (well not to jump off a cliff which is a bit extreme), but do we dare to try new things? To step out; to take that leap that we are so afraid of?
I dare you… is a challenge to do something at hand.
Amidst the Noise that exists, reflect on C.S. Lewis quote about how things change. Our tasks come and go…day-in-day-out. Months pass; and before we know it…years. We look back and realize that everything is different. Yet for many of us, things still remain the same. Our dreams, goals, entrepreneurial, and career aspirations remain at a stand still. We tremble at the sight of the raging waters below, afraid to jump!
On the flip side there are those who step forward, take the leap, and discover triumphs they never knew existed! In order to be successful, you have to be motivated! And motivation comes from within! Enter self-efficacy which means the belief an individual has in him/herself to do things they never dreamed they could do. Essentially, self-efficacy reflects confidence in the ability to exert control over one’s own motivation, behavior, and social environment.
Most if not all of us act in some capacity of leadership, be it in the workplace, or as a parent, teacher, or peer. In so doing we exert significant impact on those we have influence. Parents, impact a child’s self-efficacy when they provide an environment that stimulates the child’s curiosity and allows them to master their experiences.
A teacher’s confidence in his/her own abilities to teach can impact how successful his/her students will be.
Peers model each other’s experiences. She did it and therefore I can; or the converse, he did it and failed. Therefore if I try, I too will also fail.
Formally, there are 4 factors that influence Self-Efficacy:
Now take the time to think about your dreams, goals and aspirations. Are you where you want to be in life? Dig deep into your inner being and find that motivation… deep down because it exists. Bring it to the forefront of your mind. Start thinking positive thoughts like “I can do this!” Then Grasp the things you need to take the first step. If you need help, connect with a mentor, or a friend who has your back, or get a coach. But whatever you do, don’t let the next time you look back, you are standing still.
Make that daring move to start today. I dare you!

A Bad Manager can take a good staff and destroy it, causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation.
We have all had to deal with bad bosses at one time or the other throughout our career. We scream, complain, lose the Typical drive, become demotivated, do barely enough to get by, or inevitably jump ship. If you are dealing with a bad boss here are a few examples of characteristics that depicts the behavior.
If you are a new manager, reflect on these characteristics. Recognize the signs and plan to change. You will then be on your way to becoming a good leader.

Here’s CNN video interview with several individuals expressing their journey on deciding whether they identify with a particular race or another. Discrimination abounds and can get Messy. So to some they are thrilled to avoid the upfront open decision of sharing who they really are. Some are thrilled, but later become confused as they are confronted by issues that they need to deal with.
As an Organizational Development practitioner, the choice now exists for people to choose when doing background checks. They must choose what gender or race they identify with. No longer can it be taken for granted face-to-face to identify. You are you. You decide which you, you want to be (tongue twister). Such a Fabric of our imagination.
In my research conducted on Success Strategies, this was one of my findings. Leaders when asked what ethnic group they identified with, expressed choices. Some were taken aback by the simple question because they thought it obvious, while others who were of mixed race and could identify with one group or other based on their preference, selected whatever they wanted. The conclusion from the findings of that research…more work needs to be done on this area.
So as I conclude this simple discussion, the question remains….who are you? Do you know? Do share.

When life gets Messy, take the time to reflect. Relax and get some rest. It encourages renewal. Then later, plunge forward full speed ahead after.

We all go through hardship and challenges but it’s how we handle these tough times that set us apart and set us up for success. ~Brian Tracey
How do you handle tough times? “I just get stuck and stop moving” was one response. Premonition or not, that’s not good…not good at all. Only the strong will survive, and survival comes from hard work.
Here I share Dim excerpts of the strategies as entrepreneurs chimed in.
How about you? Do any of the above resonate? How do you manage challenges? Do share.
