Work, Sleep, Family, Fitness, or Friends: Pick 3.
The online Mega media Inc. recently posted this Question. Thought I’d share for our reflection to find out what we are FocusedĀ on. Personally, I am a recovering workaholic. It’s argued that if entrepreneurs and career high achievers are honest with themselves, the rest of life tends to get pushed out of balance.Ā The challenge is to focus on what’s important. Building a business, family, taking care of our health, or connecting.
Over to you. reflect, retreat then share your thoughts. Be honest. Can’t wait to hear!
Cheers!

Spending time alone is one of my absolute pleasures.Ā I’m sure I’m not alone. You may also like to do that as well. Ā I had some planning to do and decided on a whim to jump into my car and drive to the beach. A few hours later, I had mapped out plans for my top goals for the rest of the year! yea! I left feeling totally satisfied to get things done! What seemed like an IrrelevantĀ exercise turned out to be quite productive, in a serene atmosphere.
Jo Chunyan shared a list of things do alone. I decided to pull my top 15 to share.
Can you add any? Do share!
Cheers!

Scared as heck!
Hear this all the time….”Get yourself Out there! Get known! Let others see you! Let them get to know you!” But we are as scared as heck! What if we fail? What if people mock? What if we don’t say the right things on the business proposal, or the employment application? What if weĀ do get the call but unable to give the right responses during the interview exchange? It would certainly be a Mighty fall!
If this resonates with you, here is J. Duncan’s 4 step checklist to help build your brand:
Getting yourself out there to expand your network is no easy feat. But it’s well worth the effort. It’s a surefire Goal-Setting initiative that will certainly bring you positive result.Ā A mentor or coach can assist.

It’s gonna be great! Excitedly he posted it on social media. Tentatively he waited, and waited, and waited. Hours later, no likes. Not a single one. Didn’t they understand why he posted it? Didn’t they get the picture? Angrily he tossed his phone…walked away, depressed.
How many of us are like that? We take vacations. Go to exquisite restaurants. Attend envious events. Then we share, share and share alike to show the world that “hey I’m worthy! You should love me! I’m important. Recognize this and give me the value I deserve! Like-my-stuff!!”
Our society is in a bad state. So many are like that. We live for the value others place on us. We search for jobs, and work in careers that are attractive to others, yet we hate. We engage in relationships so others can envy us, yet we are miserable.
What we forget is that somehow society’s values have deteriorated. It’s common to see dirty news in the media just before an album, or movie is released. Infidelity sells.
Indeed sad.
Today I encourage you to be you. No one else is like you. Find the value in yourself. Do the things that bring you satisfaction. Don’t do it because you want to be recognized by others…be it family, friend, or foe.
Get out of your comfort zone. Do you. For sure, you’ll have no regrets.

Comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing ever grows there.
Comfort zones…, don’t you just love ’em? I have always taken pride in the care of my skin, especially my face. I just hate it when it looks neglected. When I was 18 years old, I discovered a skincare product that worked. Many years after i moved away, I would import the product because…it worked. When it became increasingly difficult for me to access the product, I embarked on a research to find a replacement product that would work as well.
In so doing I found one. Yea! Me happy! Then years later, I discovered that I couldn’t find that product!!! What the heck?! I searched Amazon (they have everything right)? Sure enough, I still couldn’t find it. Now what am I going to do? Implement the same ritual? Research to find a replacement? Just hate that!
Don’t we just love our comfort zone? In our comfort zone we are assured of things working the way we want it. We can predict it. There are no surprizes. But…in our comfort zone is the exact place we find no growth! I wrote previously about who moved my cheese ….going to the little grocery store and finding it was sold! How dare the owners move on to something better? Yet that is exactly what I preach everyday. Though I apply it to my professional life, I tend to forget those areas associated with my personal life. The skin care product; the little grocery store; my kids growing up! Why do we have to move on? Why? Why? Why?
Because….
Our comfort zone is a beautiful place, but NOTHING Grows there! We must move on in order to grow… to reach our full potential. Is there something that you have been trying to do for years? Maybe moving on from a job that you’re sick of? A desire to get that dream home? Start a family? Going on that dream vacation? Start that business? Get that education for that dream career? Why not step out today? Connect with me and learn how I helped many others do just that. Learn how they stepped out into doing what they have always wanted to do with no regrets.
Come on, make that move right now. Just do it.
Cheers!

Ā Penchant

a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else.
At the start of the week I decided to do a webinar on Goal Setting. Then Hurricane Irma blew in. Evacuations, preparations, and plans to survive stepped in. To DisobeyĀ would attract serious consequences from authorities.Ā After the hurricane passed, recovery, and rebuilding efforts were initiated in the midst of loss of electrical power, downed trees, devastations, and more. While giving thanks for life, I began feeling frustrated. My goals for the week had gone awry.
Well that’s natural disaster which does not happen very often. But what about those other times when we face distractions? We get angry, annoyed, depressed. But that doesn’t help. They may ‘comfort’ and provide a semblance of excuses, but they are no help. Here are 13 ways entrepreneurs responded on how to avoid distractions from Goal Achievement, and how to remain productive.
What about you? How do you avoid distractions? Do share…, we would love to hear. Ā Need help? A mentor or coach can guide you. Let’s connect.
Cheers!
